Spray Application Requirements

A single tank system cannot simultaneously spray contact herbicide in a targeted pattern and residual herbicide in a broadcast pattern. If residual herbicide is part of the field's weed control program and a single tank sprayer is used, the sprayer will need to make one pass for broadcast residual and another pass for targeted spray contact herbicides.

Spray Equipment Calibration Requirements

The sprayer and drone have different GPS systems. In order to deliver SMARTSCRIPT™ Weeds Fallow (71310-04) aligned to the sprayers GPS reference system, the offset between the two systems must be measured and recorded.

Completion of Flight Services Sprayer GPS System Calibration (71007-06) at least 2 weeks prior to first Planned Spray Application Date

If Flight Services Sprayer GPS System Calibration (71007-06) is not completed, then a zero offset between Sprayer and Drone GPS will be used

As-Applied Layer Requirements

After execution of targeted spray application, the as-applied layer will be provided by Customer to Sentera.

Environmental Conditions

Lighting

Imagery should be captured between the time of 2 hours after sunrise and 2 hours before sunset. Consistent lighting conditions required for best results, including avoidance of hard shadows cast over the field which cause bright spots and dark spots in the dataset.

Wind

Wind conditions should be within the specified limits of the aircraft or system being used to carry the imaging sensor.

Precipitation

There should be no active precipitation during imagery capture.

Description

A layer where the location of individual weeds or groups of weeds are bounded with zones appropriately sized for intended spray equipment and can be used as a prescription to deliver a targeted spray herbicide application. Weed detection is designed for weeds with height greater than or equal to 0.25 inch (0.6 cm).

The ZIP file can be unzipped and the four files (.shp, .shx, .dbf, .prj) can be copied to the sprayer monitor to execute the prescription. The GeoTiff file can be viewed in FieldAgent.
